Facilities

Tijara Beach has a fresh water swimming pool. You are invited to laze or dip in the pool under the warmth of the midday sun, whilst sipping specially made cocktails and listening to the soothing sound of the ocean.

Tijara Beach has plenty of grounds for you to walk around, explore and keep active. The gardeners work very hard to maintain the perfectly manicured gardens that they have converted from overgrown bush.

There is also a beautifully secluded beach with white fine sand, a stunning coral reef with a fantastic variety of live shells, starfish, corals and tropical fish just to name a few.

Other activities

  • Walking in the cave – legend has it that this cave is the famous Black Jack's Cave which was used during the time of slave trading.
  • Snorkelling
  • Bird watching

Occasionally Tijara is visited by dolphins and whales which can be seen swimming and frolicking around the reef; you can also watch turtles swim close to the beach during May/June.

Environment and local community

Tijara try to locally source as much as possible and share their secluded beach as much as possible with the local fishermen who bring in the catch of the day to keep up a good relationship.

Our opinion

Tijara Beach really is a lovely place set in ultimate tranquillity. It is the ideal destination for those who want to leave the rest of the world behind. It is not the place to stay if an active holiday is what you are after. The owners really go out of the way to open their home and make sure that guests are well taken care of and well fed using as many locally sourced foods as possible. The views from anywhere in Tijara are just breath-taking with an abundance of space to take long strolls and fantastic swimming opportunities with amazing marine life.
