Shinde Camp

Shinde comprises of eight twin bedded classic safari tents each with en-suite bathrooms, hot and cold running water and flush toilet. Every possible comfort has been catered for - from generated electricity and a private viewing deck through to a handy flashlight. Each tent, strategically positioned, offers splendid views, whether across the Delta's mysterious waterways or open grasslands. Accommodation is generally twin share, however double accommodation is available on request.

Shinde offers a diverse range of activities, having the ideal location affording both water and land activities throughout the year. Powerboats or mekoro provide a chance to experience the incredible bird, plant and reptile species found in the aquatic habitat of the Delta. Game drives are conducted in comfortable, specially designed vehicles together with a personal guide. Guided walks are also available for the more adventurous. For the fly fishing enthusiast, Shinde offers fishing for a variety of species such as tilapia and tiger fish.

• Included in the wide variety of game found at Shinde, there are regular sightings of the rarely spotted sitatunga antelope.
• Fly or spin fishing throughout the year (best months May - November).
• Shinde is a delightful honeymoon option in the Okavango Delta where guests are accommodated in the honeymoon tent and enjoy some special touches including the option of private breakfast. Naturally, days can be taken at a slightly more relaxed pace than a normal safari routine.

The location of this camp on an island popular with members of the antelope family and with stunning views across the clear watered palm fringed waterways make Shinde a highly sought after lodge.

As well as the main camp, The Enclave private camp is ideal for families, small groups (up to 6 guests) or that extra space and luxury for couples as it features tents elevated on teak platforms and is in essence a tented ‘villa’ of sorts in the heart of Botswana. There is a private Boma (out door area), dining room and lounge overlooking the lagoon and a dedicated host will look after your every need.
