Komandoo

Komandoo has 65 rooms comprising Beach Villas, Jacuzzi Beach Villas, Jacuzzi Water Villas and Single Beach Villas.

The 20 Beach Villas feature a terrace overlooking the beach and are equipped with air-conditioning, one four poster bed, a part open bathroom with walk in shower, minibar, CD player and tea & coffee maker.

The 30 Jacuzzi Beach Villas are situated along the Eastern beach, very close to the lagoon. These one bedroomed beach villas also include a stylishly furnished sitting area. Outside there is a wooden terrace with a Jacuzzi and sun beds in a secluded tropical garden.

The 15 Jacuzzi Water Villas are built on wooden stilts and overlook the south lagoon. These beautifully designed spacious one bedroomed villas feature a separate living area, deluxe bathroom with a walk-in rain shower, Jacuzzi overlooking the Indian Ocean and a part roofed terrace with a staircase that leads straight down to the water.

At Komandoo all rooms are air-conditioned and are equipped with an in-room safe, ceiling fan, hair dryer, telephone, tea & coffee maker, CD player and fully stocked Mini Bar.

Komandoo's restaurant, bar and Spa have been designed and built in the Maldivian style, with thatched roofs and exquisite furniture. The 'Falhu' restaurant and Khandu bar serves a buffet style breakfast and lunch and a themed dinner buffet on a daily basis. It is very well stocked with only the finest wines and champagnes.

'Aqua' is a fine dining a-la-carte restaurant that has a deck that extends out over the lagoon so that guests can experience the sensation of dining over the water. For special occasions and romantic candle light dinners the Executive Chef will let you devise your own menu.

The Thundi Bar is situated at the south western part of the island and is the perfect location with a cocktail in hand, to watch the stunning sunset.

Komandoo, on Lhaviyan Atoll's north-west reef is a diver's paradise, within an hour's boat ride there are more than 45 incredible dive sites. There is a PADI Dive School on the island. Other water sports on offer include catamaran sailing, windsurfing and canoeing. Land sports include badminton, table tennis, beach football and volleyball. There are daily excursions including a sunset cruise and visits to the surrounding islands.

Komandoo also offers a state of the art gym and a Spa for those guests wishing to pamper themselves.

In our opinion Komandoo ticks all the boxes. The accommodation is comfortable, spacious and stylish with breath-taking views across the Ocean. The food is fresh and delicious, and the views from the Agua restaurant are unforgettable. The staff offer a high level service of quality and they really go out of their way to help. The island has a truly tranquil atmosphere and is the perfect place for a luxurious, relaxed and peaceful holiday.
