Days 1 and 2 - Nairobi / Mutamaiyu House (Laikipia)

After your scheduled flight from Nairobi to Loisaba airstrip, a drive (of just 45 minutes) will take you to Mutamaiyu House.

Mutamaiyu House is a spectacularly refined retreat situated in one of Africa’s last great wilderness areas – the 49,000 acre Mugie Wildlife Conservancy in Laikipia. These rugged plains and lush woodlands are home to some of the richest diversities of wildlife on the continent including the big five with the endangered black rhino. After lunch you will go on your first game drive! Dinner and overnight at Mutamaiyu House.

Days 3 and 4 - Mutamaiyu House / Nairobi / Lake Naivasha

After breakfast on day 3 of your adventure, you will be transferred to Loisaba airstrip for your scheduled flight to Naivasha.

The Great Rift Valley crawls almost 9000km through the African Continent with Lake Naivasha, one of its seven lakes, being its most impressive sector. Afternoon activities, dinner and overnight at Chui Lodge or Kiangazi House.

On day 4, enjoy the wide range of activities included:

Chui Lodge

Eight individual well-spaced luxurious cottages, each with an en-suite bathroom and delightful veranda with views of the sanctuary and the rift escarpment stretching into the horizon. Magnificent four-poster olive wood king-sized beds, roaring log fires, artistically decorated windows and handcrafted furniture ensure the essential touch of luxury.

Kiangazi House

Kiangazi meaning ‘hot and dry season’ is a beautiful country house situated on a hill set amongst delightful lush gardens and rolling lawns with unsurpassed scenery of Lake Naivasha and the Great Rift Valley. Built in the old traditional style of local stone & timber, Kiangazi House has three double bedrooms within the main house and two additional double bedrooms just beyond the swimming pool, all en-suite. Luxurious features like four-poster beds, romantic turndowns and freshly cut roses, all enhance the personal touch. Within the house, private lounges, a bar and library all with fireplaces are the perfect places to curl up on a couch with a glass of exquisite wine.

Days 5 and 6 - Naivasha / Maasai Mara

On day 5 enjoy a hearty breakfast and morning activities.

Break for lunch and relax before your journey to Kenya’s legendary Maasai Mara and Kenya's luxurious Royal Mara Safari Lodge! The Lodge is set on the banks of the Mara River in the richest game viewing section of the park. Only eight large riverfront tented chalets built on raised mahogany platforms, provide safety from hippos, elephants and buffalos roaming through the Lodge at night in search of food and water. Each chalet has been individually decorated with handcrafted furniture and opens onto a large veranda overlooking the breath-taking river scenery. Afternoon game drive followed by dinner and overnight at Royal Mara Safari Lodge

On day 6, enjoy the wide range of activities included:

  • Game drives
  • Hippo Lagoon breakfast (1 per stay)

Royal Mara Safari Lodge

Set on the banks of the Mara River in the richest game viewing section of the park. Only 8 large riverfront tented chalets built on raised mahogany platforms, provide safety from hippos, elephants and buffalos roaming through the Lodge at night in search of food and water. Each chalet has been individually decorated with artistically handcrafted furniture and opens onto a large veranda overlooking the breath-taking river.

Day 7 - Maasai Mara / Nairobi

Breakfast. Transfer to the airstrip for the scheduled flight to Nairobi with departure at 11.00 hrs or 16.00 hrs (if using the afternoon flight, morning activities and lunch at the Lodge is included).
