Days 1 and 2 - Lake Naivasha

The Great Rift Valley crawls almost 9000kms through the African Continent with Lake Naivasha, one of its seven lakes, being its most impressive sector. Arrive from Nairobi and transfer to Chui Lodge or Kiangazi House. Just in time to partake in some afternoon activities before settling down to a sumptuous evening meal!

On day two, select from the wide range of included activities:

  • Day and night game drives in Oserian Sanctuary
  • Bush breakfast
  • Sundowner
  • Bush walks
  • Boat trips and fishing on Lake Naivasha
  • Visit to the Oserian flower farm

The Oserian Sanctuary
The Oserian Game Corridor is one of the last remaining of its kind. The Sanctuary hosts:

  • Over 45 different species of mammals
  • 320 bird species
  • Several endangered species such as the White Rhino, Grevy's Zebra, Beisa Oryx, and Greater Kudu
  • ...and predatory cats are prolific, with frequent sightings of Leopard, Cheetah, Serval and Caracal!

Two nights at either Chui Lodge or Kiangazi House.

Chui Lodge
Eight individual, well-spaced luxurious cottages, each with an en-suite bathroom. All rooms have delightful verandas that provide views of the Sanctuary and the Rift escarpment stretching into the horizon. Magnificent four-poster olive wood king-sized beds, roaring log fires, artistically decorated windows and handcrafted furniture ensure the essential touch of luxury!

Kiangazi House
Kiangazi meaning ‘hot and dry season’, is a beautiful country house situated on a hill set amongst delightful lush gardens and rolling lawns with unsurpassed scenery of Lake Naivasha and the Great Rift Valley.

Built in the old traditional style of local stone and timber, Kiangazi House has three double bedrooms within the main house and two additional double bedrooms just beyond the swimming pool, all en-suite. Luxurious features like four-poster beds, romantic turndowns and freshly cut roses, all enhance the personal touch. Within the house, private lounges, a bar and library all with fireplaces are the perfect places to curl up on a couch with a glass of exquisite wine.

Days 3, 4 and 5 - Naivasha - Maasai Mara

Enjoy breakfast and morning activities at the Oserian Sanctuary followed by a spot of lunch and then flying to Kenya’s legendary Maasai Mara and the luxurious Royal Mara Safari Lodge.

The Royal Mara Safari Lodge is set on the banks of the Mara River in the richest game viewing section of the park: perfect for a late afternoon game drive!

On days four and five, enjoy a wide range of activities:

  • Game drives
  • Hippo Lagoon breakfast (1 per stay)
  • Sundowner (1 per stay)
  • Bush walks
  • Overnight Royal Mara Safari Lodge

Maasai Mara National Reserve
Possibly the most famous of the reserves, and arguably the greatest wildlife destination in Africa the Maasai Mara has become synonymous with the safari.

The Mara lands are famous for the annual Wildebeest migration. This is an awesome sight in the true meaning of the word which, when coupled with the sound of thousands upon thousands of hooves pounding the earth, makes it an unforgettable spectacle.

The Royal Mara Safari Lodge
Just eight large riverfront tented chalets built on raised mahogany platforms provide close encounters yet safety from the hippos, elephants and buffalos roaming through the Lodge at night in search of food and water.

Each chalet has been individually decorated with artistically handcrafted furniture and opens onto a large veranda overlooking the breath-taking river scenery.

Lap up the luxury of four-poster super king and double size beds, elegantly hand-carved solid wood furnishings and full en-suite bathrooms... sunbathe in the open veranda chaises longes, dine along the river frontage of the camp as hippos wallow in the nearby river, and experience elegant haute cuisine on your own unique wilderness safari.

Day 6 - Maasai Mara - Nairobi

A hearty breakfast (which may be taken near a hippo pool watching resident hippos bobbing in the river or on the open savannah among grazing herds!) sets you up for your departure. Transfer to the airstrip for the scheduled flight to Nairobi. (If taking an afternoon flight, morning activities and lunch at the Lodge is included).
